SF Chronicle – Restaurant Items Stolen From Cliff House
Authorities are searching for two people suspected of stealing historic memorabilia from San Francisco’s Cliff House nearly one month after the restaurant announced its permanent closure.
United States Park Police said two people broke into the building near Ocean Beach in the early hours of Jan. 26. Historic art, tools and an early 1900s bathing suit from the old Sutro Bathhouse valued at $2,000 were among the items stolen, police said.
